Privacy notice

How Cleaning by Jennie collects, uses and protects your information when you visit cleaningbyjennie.com, request a quote, or book a cleaning with us.

Last updated: October 28, 2026

The short version

  • We use what you send us to prepare your estimate, schedule and provide your cleaning, and stay in touch about it.
  • We measure how our website is used with our own tools, and may use Google's tools to see which of our ads lead to quote requests.
  • We don't sell your personal information.
  • If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we turn off our advertising measurement for you.
  • Questions or requests: [email protected] or 847-323-5764.

Information you give us

  • Quote requests. Our online estimate asks about your home and the service you want (property type, size, bedrooms and bathrooms, plan, extras, preferred date and time, and any notes), plus your name, phone number, email and service address. If you pick one of the suggested addresses, we also save its map location. Once you enter your contact details, we save your answers as you go, so if you don't finish, someone from our team may contact you about your estimate.
  • Contact form. Your name, email, phone number and message.
  • Calls, texts and emails. Whatever you share with us when we talk or write to each other.
  • Lead services. If you reach us through a service such as Yelp, we receive the details you gave that service.
  • Payments. If you pay us through Venmo or Zelle, we receive the payment notification and record it with your account.

Information collected automatically

  • Website measurement. On our public pages we record which pages you view and which steps of the quote form you complete, along with the site or link that referred you, any campaign tags in that link, your device type, browser and operating system, your approximate country and your IP address. A random ID stored in your browser lets us recognize repeat visits. If you start a quote request, these records can be linked to it.
  • Browser storage. Our pages keep a few small items in your browser's storage rather than in cookies: that random ID, a visit ID and the last page you viewed (both removed when you close the tab), a temporary key that connects your browser tab to the quote you're filling in (removed when you send it or close the tab), and, if you arrive from one of our ads or another link with campaign tags, the ad details described below. When advertising measurement is on, we also keep the reference numbers of up to 50 quote requests already reported to Google, so the same request is never reported twice. Google's tag uses its own cookies and similar storage, also described below.
  • Hosting. The services that run our website process your IP address and request details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Advertising measurement (Google Ads)

We advertise on Google and may measure which ads lead to quote requests. When this measurement is on:

  • When you click one of our Google ads, Google adds a click identifier to the link. We keep that identifier, the campaign tags, the page you landed on and the time of your visit in your browser and use them for up to 90 days. We do the same, without a click identifier, when you arrive from another link with campaign tags. If you send a quote request in that time, we save them with your request.
  • Our public pages load Google's tag. Google receives your IP address, browser details, the full address (including any campaign tags) and title of the pages you visit, and the site that referred you. The tag stores its own cookies and similar items in your browser (their names start with “_gcl”) so Google can connect a later quote request to an ad click.
  • When you send a quote request, we tell Google that a request was made and give it a reference number. We don't send Google your name, phone number, email, address, notes or estimate, not even as the scrambled (hashed) copy that Google's “enhanced conversions” feature uses.
  • We set Google's tag with ad personalization turned off, which tells Google not to use visits to our site for personalized advertising.
  • None of this happens on our office and staff pages, when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, or unless your IP address shows you're in the United States.

Google's use of the information it receives is covered by Google's privacy policy. You can also read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Google Maps and fonts

  • When you reach the address step of the quote form, the page loads Google Maps to suggest addresses as you type. Google receives what you type and your IP address. You can enter your address without picking a suggestion.
  • Our service-area map loads from Google only when you tap “Show map”.
  • Our pages use fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google's servers.

How we use your information

  • To answer your request, prepare your estimate, schedule and provide your cleaning, and send invoices and record payments.
  • To contact you about your request or service by phone, text or email, including following up on a quote form you didn't finish.
  • To keep accurate customer records, for example by spotting duplicate requests.
  • To understand how our website is used and which advertising works, so we can improve both.
  • To protect our business and meet legal and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information or give it to other companies for their own marketing. We share it with the service providers that help us run our business, and when the law requires it:

  • Supabase, which stores our customer and request records.
  • Lovable and Cloudflare, which run and deliver our website.
  • Google, for our business email, Google Maps address suggestions, Google Fonts, and Google Ads measurement as described above.
  • OpenAI, which powers AI tools our office uses to review customer messages and requests and to draft replies.
  • Zapier, which passes requests from services like Yelp into our records.

Your choices

  • Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends this signal, we don't keep ad-click information, don't load Google's ad tag, and don't tell Google about your quote request. Our own website measurement still runs.
  • Browser settings. You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser at any time. Clearing them removes the items described above.
  • Messages. Tell us if you'd rather not receive texts or emails from us.
  • Your information. You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. We may need to keep some records, such as invoices, where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Quote requests and customer records: for as long as we need them to serve you and keep our business records, unless you ask us to delete them and we aren't required to keep them.
  • Unfinished quote forms: until our team deletes them.
  • Ad-click information: used for up to 90 days in your browser, then ignored and removed on your next visit. Once saved with a quote request, it's kept for as long as that request is, and deleted with it.
  • Website measurement records, including IP addresses: for as long as they help us understand how our site is used.

Security

Our office system requires a staff sign-in, and we limit access to your information to our team and the service providers above. No way of storing or sending information is completely secure.

Children

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
